Something Old and Something New...

Several years ago, Jay and I knew a fellow by the name of Dan. Jay and Dan played basketball together. Dan and I went to the lead out together. Ten years ago, I would have never guessed that Dan would be sitting on my sofa fancying my baby sister. We are truly blessed to be able to spend time with friends from the past.

Vawentime's Day...

Today, I went to the girls' Valentine's Parties. Ella's was in the AM and Hadley's was in the PM. Layton's class didn't have a party, and I didn't lean in to say hello. If I had looked in on him, he would have cried for me to take him. He cries every time I drop him off at Mom's Morning out. He cries if I don't pick him up fast enough when I enter the room at the end of the day. He's MY BOY!!! It's so nice to be loved.
After work, I went to Huntsville and took Jay out to eat. I made a reservation at ShoGun Japanese Restaurant. It was WONDERFUL!!!!! Today was a good day. The adventures of Mrs. Jay continue....

Illegal Activity...

Even when they are doing everyday tasks (eating goldfish or drinking hot chocolate), my babies are so cute. They are so cute it should be illegal. The cuteness is almost too much. Whenever Ella does something really cute, I say that I have been "Ella-cuted." Sadly, her name is the only one that makes great words like "elladorable." We call Layton "Later Tater" sometimes, so when I fix a bottle for him, it's "tatorade."Ella calls Hadley "Shoo Shoo," so it's not that uncommon for me to holler,"Shoo Shoo Roo Shoo, it's time to go to bed."Yeah. I know. It's sad when you discover that you are a well educated, intelligent individual who makes up words instead of using real words.

Breathing is Hard To Do...

Ella has asthma just like Hadley and just like me. She has to take daily breathing treatments, and she really, really hates it.

What will get me first?

Bird Flu. Global Warming. Inflation. War. Cancer. "It's the number one killer today, and it could be in your dinner. Stay tuned for the news at 10:00PM."
Geez. Could the news make this world sound any worse? I have become very concerned about global warming. Not because I am a tree hugging liberal but because I can't decide what to believe. As near as I can tell, every documentary, study, and research paper is funded by some organization, corporation, or municipality. Every organization, corporation, and municipality has an interest in the outcome...an interest. Think about it. You wouldn't hire a PR firm to make you look bad. You wouldn't pay for documentaries that wouldn't do what you needed done. Can we really trust the media? All of the scare tactics and misrepresentation is starting to feel old. Did the moon landing really happen or did some studio assist the government in selling all of us a load of crap?
I like to think that global warming is caused by humans. In fact, I believe that humans contribute to global warming, but I also believe that the earth tries to balance itself. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Earth will fight back. I'm not suggesting that Earth has a conscience and is seeking to take out humans. I am suggesting that Earth will make an effort to balance. It seems to me that a pandemic bird flu could be a good thing. Wiping out a portion of the population would reduce global warming. Survival of the fittest.
I can't go on like this. I get so upset by all of this that I just can't think about it anymore. I'm officially tapping out of this thought process for now. Please comment or email me with suggestions about global warming.

It's Snow Cold...

It Snowed!!! Can you believe it? It rarely snows in Alabama, but we got a light dusting of snow. The kids had a great time playing in it. Layton was the only one who didn't really care for the snow. He's too little; it was just cold to him. Hadley built two snowmen. They were small but cute. Ella enjoyed making footprints. Overall, it was a great morning. School was delayed which made it easier to enjoy the snow. Since I have been so sick, it really helped me out that I didn't have to get up so early to get the children nuggets to school. Stayed tuned for more adventures with Mrs. Jay...
