I probably shelled for a couple of hours before I gave up. Jay finished off the gigantic sack of peas I insisted on purchasing. I got all the peas blanched and frozen. At least we'll have yummy peas all winter long!!!
I am curious though. I was talking to my friend Angela on the phone while I was shelling, and she said she didn't know how to "put up" beans and vegetables for winter. She was raised in Connecticut, so I jokingly told her that Yankees don't know these things. HA! She laughed.
In all seriousness, do you know how to freeze vegetables? how to can? preserve?
