Cracks Me Up...

Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T

This sign is posted at our local produce stand. Cracks me up!!!

Which Witch?...Layton's Witch...

I snapped a picture of this at school the other day. I cannot wait for little man to get to bring this home. :) It is definitely refrigerator worthy.

Gray's Anatomy...

Knowledge of the human skeleton came in handy during this project. I'll try to remember to get a picture of the completed project. It's a Halloween spook!

Happy Halloween....

Don't let the extraterrestrials get ya!!

This Face....

Oh yes, the faces she makes are truly captivating. I just can't get over how animated she is. Here lately, I've been told that she looks like me. I still think she looks more like Jay, but I can see little bits of me in her. I think the faces and animation are like me. Jay claims that if you tied my hands behind my back, I wouldn't be able to talk. From what I've been told, I talk with my whole body. I guess that's where Ella gets it. :)

The Storytelling Crew...

So, I mentioned that the kids took friends with them to the festival. Here is the whole Motley Crue...

E-Ro, Grace, H-Dizzy Dog, Kiddo, Nephew, and Tater Chop...

Ella pouted because her friend was sick. For real, she acted a complete mess for the first hour. Then, I texted another friend and got her to spend the night, so Ella perked up. Until she perked up....she pouted...

The boys said cheese and were completely adorable.

And, Ella pouted.

Want to Hear a Story?...

We went to the Storytelling Festival again this year. It was so much fun!! Each of the children took a friend. Well, two of the three took a friend. Ella's friend that was going to go woke up sick, so Ella was sans partner. She pouted about it big time. I'll share those pictures in a bit.

Have you ever been to a storytelling? The first year that our town had one, I was a little confused by what it was. I hadn't ever heard of it before. Then, we went. Oh my word! It is absolutely wonderful!!!  I highly recommend attending one.

One Might Look Like Me...

If you know this fellow, then you know how much fun he is. And, how funny he is! When Layton's class went to his family's farm for a field trip, I jokingly asked him to let me take his picture with the kids. His joking reply...

Posted by Picasa

No, one might look like me!

HAHAHAHA!! I am still laughing!!

Hayride...Hey, Let's Ride...

Have you ever wondered what a hayride with a gaggle of kindergartners looks like? Let me help you with that mental image....

Cotton, Cotton Everywhere...

Layton's class was fortunate enough to have a field trip to a local farm earlier this year. Cotton is the particular crop grown on the farm.

The kids had such a good time picking cotton and running through the cotton field. They also did a craft, took a hayride, went on a nature walk, and got to eat lunch on the property. I doubt Layton will ever forget it.

The Farm Through Hadley's Lens...

Hadley has her own camera. It's not a super fancy one, but it does take pretty good pictures. She often carries it with her to the farm. The following is one of her pictures.

I think I'm going to post a number of the pictures from her camera. It's so interesting to see the way she views the farm. :)

Awww, Thanks Amy!...

We took the children to the homecoming football game. Hadley ran off with her friends as middle school aged children are known to do. Ella played with one of her friends. And Layton?...

He found two of his friends from school and sat with them for a while. Jake's mom Amy sent me a text of the boys. They are football watching men in the making!!

We only stayed through half-time. It was chilly, and I was tired. I had helped make pinatas most of the school day for the Halloween party and then walked in the homecoming parade. It doesn't sound like I had much of a busy day, but believe me, helping a group of 20 kindergartners make pinatas was quite an adventure!!

Noah....

In 2009 I mentioned a precious little man named Noah. Recently, his parents got the worst news I can imagine a parent receiving. His chances of surviving the cancer that has grown in his brain are very small. Chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery have not been able to stop the cancer from growing.

Please pray or send good vibes or write them a word of encouragement; I have no doubt that they would appreciate it.

Monograms....

The Monogram Swap.

Just check this site out!! If you are like me and have your child's initials or name on everything he/she owns, the Monogram Swap is a must see!! I have put several of my children's outfits up for sale. I haven't had any luck yet, but I think it's largely because I didn't take good pictures of the clothes. I had used my cell phone initially. I'll probably take some pics with my real camera soon.

Wildwood....Wild Scarecrow...

Wildwood Deli is one of my children's favorite places to eat. The owners have put a scarecrow out front, and the littles couldn't resist an opportunity to have their picture made with him.

CSA...The Bomb...

Earlier this year I was introduced to Community Supported Agriculture. I signed up for one with Doe Run Farm. To be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect. When I picked up my first box, I was blown away! Inside I found the following....

Green beans, radishes, onions, squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, turnips and more!! We had a supper of fresh vegetables the next night, and I am still using it!! I cannot wait to see what I get this week.

This May Have Been An Error....

Layton loves a sling shot, or as he calls it, a sling shooter. Every year he looks for a new one at the Fiddler's Convention. Historically there has been a vendor selling neat ones that look like animals, and Layton has bought two over the years. Well, what do you know? The vendor wasn't selling animal sling shooters this year. Layton begged for something else.

What are the odds that I don't take a rubber band to the face this week?

How Could You Not?....

How could you not be in love with this little face?
