If blogging were analogous to taxes, I would have received a letter from the government with an intent to levy my personal property to pay my tax. Yes, that's right. I have been so consumed with work, that I have failed to update my blog in nearly a year. Here is a quick update of the last year in no particular order (and a promise to blog more often):
1. I have officially signed my life over to my career.
2. Ella had another ear surgery; it went very well.
3. We had excellent holidays.
4. I am another year older.
5. I attempted to master Myspace.com. It didn't go so well.
6. I can cross-accrue income tax for corporations in my sleep.
7. My secretary who moved to Auburn is expecting twin boys...Oz and Conner.
8. My sister had a baby. Chesley.
9. Layton loves the color orange.
10. Ella is obsessed with preparing "payroll." My career has warped my children.
11. Hadley is addicted to the internet. I should have her blog for me.
I promise to provide updates and lots of pictures soon!!!

License to Drool...
Jet Setters...
Layton and Ella both went for a ride on the red jet ski over Memorial Day weekend. It wasn't Ella's first time on the jet ski, but it was Layton's first ride. He really enjoyed it. The red jet ski is by far the most stable jet ski owned by the Romine family; that's why we use it to take the kids for rides. On a side note, Lindsay and I flipped the red jet ski twice over Memorial Day weekend.
It was Lindsay's first time on the jet ski as well.

P.S. Lindsay is the dark haired women in the picture in the post below. She is one of Dan's best friends and has come to visit us a few times from Birmingham.

We've procreated to the Family Room...
Recently, my mother had a birthday. Because our family had a strep throat epidemic last week, we decided to postpone the party until the kids were well. Jason, Kathryn, and I agreed to a "family dinner" at the Olive Garden. Well, we've had so many children that there are 11 of us now. The Olive Garden didn't set up a table for us; they told us we would eat in the family room. Yes, you read that right; Olive Garden has a room dedicated to large families. Jason rarely eats dinner with Jay and me because our kids drive him nuts, so I was used to the fact that we had procreated to the point where relatives didn't want to be around us. I was unprepared for the fact that we fill a room. It was great though. I was really excited to see everyone together. Check out the picture of Mrs. Jay's family.

Something Old and Something New...
Several years ago, Jay and I knew a fellow by the name of Dan. Jay and Dan played basketball together. Dan and I went to the lead out together. Ten years ago, I would have never guessed that Dan would be sitting on my sofa fancying my baby sister. We are truly blessed to be able to spend time with friends from the past.

Illegal Activity...
Even when they are doing everyday tasks (eating goldfish or drinking hot chocolate), my babies are so cute. They are so cute it should be illegal. The cuteness is almost too much. Whenever Ella does something really cute, I say that I have been "Ella-cuted." Sadly, her name is the only one that makes great words like "elladorable." We call Layton "Later Tater" sometimes, so when I fix a bottle for him, it's "tatorade."Ella calls Hadley "Shoo Shoo," so it's not that uncommon for me to holler,"Shoo Shoo Roo Shoo, it's time to go to bed."Yeah. I know. It's sad when you discover that you are a well educated, intelligent individual who makes up words instead of using real words.
