If you look at this picture and guess that these three boys are up to no good, you're probably right.
Layton would push the gate as far open as it would go. Then he would jump on and use his weight (what little of it there is) to swing the gate shut. They stayed on the gate for a good hour swinging and being boys. It was quite the sight.
